Today is Presidents Day as if you didn't know. For months now we've been hearing Hail to the Chief playing 24/7 as we shop in the malls. The decorations, bunting, and flags are everywhere. All this is to celebrate Warren G. Harding, probably the worst, and William H. Harrison, easily the best, Presidents. I don't think it's legal to celebrate a living President though. Last night, Presidents Day eve, we told our children that the President actually exists, took out a loan for $16 trillion to put unnecessary gifts in their stockings, watched the moon's near miss of Jupiter, and went to bed with visions of political plums in our heads. Today we head for the car dealers.
