What BIDI SFP plus module Exactly Is?

As you know, SFP plus transceiver, based on the latest technology, is ideally suited for datacom and storage area network applications. But there are so many SFP plus products, like BIDI SFP plus transceiver. What is BIDI SFP plus module? What is it Exactly used for?

This is an SFP+ with a single fiber. Tx and Rx use different lambdas to share the same fiber.
