COMSOL RF module: urgent

Hi
i am a new user to comsol RF module. Actually I a want to model the heating of a material using IR waves... can i use the RF module (which illustrates microwave heating as an example) to model the IR heating...do we have options to change the frequency of wave from RF and microwave to IR?

Please some one help me out...Thanks in advance

Hello RR00053,

Welcome to the world of COMSOL RF Module! It is great to hear that you are interested in using the software for IR heating simulations.

To answer your question, yes, you can definitely use the RF module to model IR heating. The RF module is designed to handle a wide range of electromagnetic frequencies, including IR. You can change the frequency of the wave by simply adjusting the input parameters in the software.

If you are new to the software, I would recommend taking a look at the user manual and tutorials to get familiar with the interface and features. Additionally, you can also reach out to the COMSOL support team for any specific questions or assistance with your simulation.

Best of luck with your IR heating simulations!

Sincerely,

Scientist at COMSOL
