In summary, the purpose of this tower can vary depending on its location and design, and it could serve as a communication tower, observation tower, or tourist attraction. The height of the tower can range from a few meters to over 800 meters. The materials used for construction also vary based on the design and location, with common materials including steel, concrete, and glass. The construction time for a tower can range from months to several years. The safety of the tower is determined by its design and maintenance, with some towers having designated areas for visitors to climb while others are not meant to be climbed at all.

Hey all,

Newbie here.

Can anyone please help me identify the tower in the following picture? Is it communication, cellphone or internet tower? What is it used for? It's not a homework question.

I'd really appreciate a speedy reply, TIA!

It looks to me like a communications tower.
It's got cell site equipment as well as microwave relay dishes.
