Does we here at PF have an official mascot?

In summary, the potential mascots for PF are: Schrödinger's cat, a puffin, a St Bernard, or a cheetah.

Does we here at PF have an official mascot? If not, I vote for Salmon. Or perhaps a Lionfish. And if all else fails, the Hypnotoad.

Yes. She is called Evo.

Could be a downside to that. We could be shut down by PETA.

Strangely, killing the cat wouldn't be animal cruelty, per se, but how would we prove the cat has adequate air, food, and water?

What kind of skill level do you want?

Zoobie?

Zoobie can capture a scene in photographic detail. Scary!

If you want an easily-scaled cartoon as a mascot image, Zooby's talents would be mis-spent, IMO. He could pull it off, but his photo-realistic drawings are very far away from that type of sketching. I could be 100% wrong, and the Zoobs is constantly cartooning and sketching when he is not refining his drawings.

Phinds would make a MUCH better mascot than Evo. Phinds is housebroken after all.

I second a cat, or something similar and anthropomorphised. You can do things with it (well, other people with artistic skills can). For example, have it playing with a balloon with galaxies drawn on it, or be sneakily removing the poison from the box, or correcting (or "correcting") equations on a whiteboard.

Alternatively, I have a vote in for this little guy.

Sounds good to me. But I don't think we could top this. IMO

two thoughts a puffin (conveniently has PF initials inside)

or a St Bernard (carries its own refreshment) rescues people from dire straits (like students lost in the wilderness of learning)

1. What is the official mascot of PF?

The official mascot of PF is a penguin named "Penny".

2. How was Penny chosen as the official mascot?

Penny was chosen through a voting process among the members of PF. She represents intelligence, curiosity, and community, which are all important values of the forum.

3. Can anyone suggest a new mascot for PF?

Yes, suggestions for a new mascot are always welcome. However, any new mascot must be voted on and approved by the members of PF in order to become the official mascot.

4. Does Penny have any special meaning or symbolism?

Penny represents the currency used in many countries, symbolizing the global reach of PF and the diverse backgrounds of its members. She also wears a lab coat and glasses, representing the scientific focus of the forum.

5. Is there any official merchandise featuring Penny?

Currently, there is no official merchandise featuring Penny. However, members are free to create and share their own designs using the PF logo and Penny as inspiration.
