Projectile motion related numerical

In summary, a stone is thrown vertically upwards and takes 30 seconds to return to the ground. To find the height it reaches, you can use the equations for accelerated linear motion, specifically the equation for acceleration and the average speed equation. With these equations, you can find the answer to your question.

Hi there,

Come on. I believe you can answer that by yourself. You just need to apply the accelerated linear motion equations and you get to your answer

can u provide that linear accelerated motion...

Not really, but I can help you find them.

Acceleration is define as a variation of speed: [tex]a = \frac{v_1 - v_0}{t}[/tex]

In the case of accelerated linear motion, the average speed is equal to the mean speed: [tex]\overline{v} = \frac{v_0 + v_1}{2}[/tex]

From these three equations, you have the solution to your question.

What is projectile motion?

Projectile motion is the motion of an object that is projected into the air at an angle, such as a ball being thrown or a rocket being launched. It follows a curved path due to the influence of gravity.

What is the formula for calculating the horizontal distance traveled by a projectile?

The formula for calculating the horizontal distance traveled by a projectile is d = v * t * cos(theta), where d is the distance, v is the initial velocity, t is the time, and theta is the angle of projection.

What is the relationship between the angle of projection and the maximum height of a projectile?

The maximum height of a projectile is achieved when the angle of projection is 90 degrees (straight up). As the angle decreases, the maximum height also decreases.

How does air resistance affect the trajectory of a projectile?

Air resistance can slow down the projectile and cause it to deviate from its expected trajectory. This is because air resistance creates a force in the opposite direction of the projectile's motion, causing it to lose speed and change direction.

What factors can affect the range of a projectile?

The range of a projectile can be affected by factors such as initial velocity, angle of projection, air resistance, and the gravitational force of the Earth. Other factors, such as the mass and shape of the projectile, can also play a role.
