This guy ran over his own engine block after it completely exploded during a tractor pull.

I have been a life-long fan of motorsports and I've never heard of this happening before. Must be a world's first.

1. What causes an engine to explode?

Engines can explode for a variety of reasons, such as overheating, lack of proper maintenance, or a malfunctioning component. In this specific scenario, it is likely that the engine was already damaged or malfunctioning before it exploded.

2. How common is it for someone to run over their own engine after it explodes?

It is not very common for someone to run over their own engine after it explodes, as most people would try to avoid the debris and stop their vehicle as quickly as possible. However, in this particular case, it is possible that the driver was unable to stop due to the suddenness of the explosion and subsequent loss of control.
