For 2 bodies rotating in ellipses about their centre of mass, (62) p171 of Moulton (1914),
Periodic orbits gives the distance between them as a series in eccentricity e, with coefficients linear combinations of cos kM, k=1,2,... where M=nt is the mean anomaly. I once found the formula online but no luck since. I think the "1" in the first line of (62) should not be there. Is there a list of errata? thanks kit in nz
