Um, because you told the installer to put them there. You know you can just delete them if you don't want them there

You have a piece of spyware on your computer. Get a spyware remover--or update your codecs if you have on already--and remove the offending spyware from your drive.

I would recommened running both a spyware remover (namely Spybot) and a adware remover (namely Ad-Aware). They usualy find different things. They are free and the first time I ran them I had a ton of stuff on my machine I didn't even notice.

2. Can I remove these icons from my desktop?

Yes, you can remove icons from your desktop by right-clicking on them and selecting "Delete" or "Remove". However, keep in mind that this will not delete the actual program or file, it will only remove the shortcut from your desktop.

The appearance of icons on your desktop can vary based on the program or file they represent. Some icons may be customized by the program itself, while others may have a default appearance based on the file type.

4. How do I change the size of icons on my desktop?

To change the size of icons on your desktop, you can right-click on an empty space and select "View" from the drop-down menu. From there, you can choose between small, medium, or large icon sizes. You can also use the zoom function on your computer to adjust the size of all elements on your screen.
