what do you think is the next big thing in the aviation industry, what areas do you think can be improved...in terms of control systems..or mechanics... Share your thoughts!
I don't think so - not in the civil aviation, at least. Too many risks involved with malfunctioning of said devices.viscousflow said:active flow control, jet blown flaps.
The "next big thing" in the aviation industry is the development and implementation of electric and hybrid aircraft. These aircraft use electric motors instead of traditional jet engines, making them more environmentally friendly and efficient.
Electric and hybrid aircraft have the potential to significantly reduce carbon emissions and noise pollution in the aviation industry. They also have lower operating costs and require less maintenance, making them more economically feasible in the long run.
One of the main challenges is the development of efficient and powerful batteries to power these aircraft. Another challenge is the infrastructure needed for charging and servicing these planes. Additionally, regulations and safety standards need to be established for these new types of aircraft.
While electric and hybrid aircraft are already being tested and used in small planes, it may take several years before they are widely used in commercial aviation. It will depend on the progress of battery technology and the necessary infrastructure being put in place.
Passengers can expect a quieter and more comfortable flight experience on electric and hybrid aircraft due to the absence of loud jet engines. These aircraft also have the potential to fly longer distances, making it possible for airlines to offer new routes and expand their networks.
