30) you should be able to find trends of the periodic table in your chem book.

31) The elements get larger as their number gets higher that should help. Also, if you have a positive then you must loose an electron since more protons would indicate a different element

34) To find this you need to look at the electronegativity, which increases as you go up and across the periodic table. The molecules which have the biggest difference in electronegativity will be the most polar.

35) The octet is what most elements desire of their outer most shell. The last column in the peroidic table has a full octet
b) the previous statement should answer that question, since those are the noble gases and the most stable

36) There are two types of covalent bonds. One in which one molecule brings both electrons and one where each molecule brings an electron to share. It will be easy to find the difference

37) Do the Lewis dot structure and see what happens

38) Set up energy levels

39) This will have to do with the polarity and the ability to form a crystal structure, but you will have to give more info than this.
