In summary, the conversation is about a person looking for a literature that describes an equation involving a pipe in a horizontal position. They mention not having any idea where the equation came from and suggest checking a book by R.C. Hibbeler for more information.

Try R.C. Hibbeler Mechanics of materials or statics.

What is the Origin of this Equation?

The origin of an equation can refer to two different things: the original source of the equation or the mathematical concept that the equation represents.

What is the difference between an equation and a formula?

An equation is a mathematical statement that shows the relationship between two or more quantities. A formula is a specific type of equation that is used to solve a problem or calculate a value.

How do scientists come up with equations?

Scientists use a combination of observation, experimentation, and mathematical reasoning to come up with equations that accurately describe natural phenomena.

What makes an equation valid?

An equation is considered valid if it follows the rules of mathematical logic and accurately represents the relationship between the quantities it describes.

Can equations change over time?

Yes, equations can change over time as new discoveries and advancements are made in science. Theories and concepts may also evolve, leading to the modification or creation of new equations.
