In summary, flies can fly freely in a car without hitting the rear because they are moving relative to the air within the vehicle, which is also moving at the same speed as the car. This is similar to how humans can breathe freely in a car going at high speeds. This concept is known as "Galileo's Boat."

why they can fly freely in the car without hitting the rear no matter how fast the car is going forward?

Welcome to PF, Custer.
The fly is flying relative to the air within the vehicle, which is moving at the same speed as the vehicle. For pretty much the same reason, you can breathe freely in a car going at 200 kph; try sticking your head out of the window at that speed, and you'll find yourself breathless.

Then now you're traveling in the speed of over 200 meters per second(I assume that you live in some particular places on the surface of the earth), you're not feeling anything uncomfortable, right?
That's almost the same.
If you're interested, you can check the term"Galileo's Boat".

1. Why do flies seem to fly freely in moving cars?

Flies have the ability to fly at high speeds and can easily adjust to changes in air flow. This allows them to fly freely in moving cars without being affected by the wind or turbulence caused by the car's motion.

2. How do flies navigate inside a moving car?

Flies have compound eyes that provide them with a 360-degree view of their surroundings. This allows them to quickly and accurately navigate through the car's interior, even when the car is in motion.

3. Do flies have any special adaptations that allow them to fly in moving cars?

Yes, flies have small hairs on their body and wings that help them maintain stability and balance while flying. They also have strong wings that allow them to quickly respond to changes in air flow.

4. Are there any risks associated with flies flying freely in moving cars?

While flies flying in moving cars may seem harmless, they can potentially distract the driver and cause accidents. Additionally, flies can carry bacteria and diseases, so it's best to keep them out of the car as much as possible.

5. Can flies fly in any type of moving vehicle or only in cars?

Flies can fly freely in any type of moving vehicle, including planes, trains, and boats. As long as there is enough air flow and space for them to navigate, they can fly in almost any environment.
