In summary, to close a thread you created on a forum or discussion board, you will need moderator privileges and look for an option to "close" or "lock" the thread. Social media platforms do not have this feature, but you can delete your own posts to stop the discussion. Reasons for closing a thread include resolving a topic, preventing spam or inappropriate comments, or limiting discussion length. A closed thread will still be visible but cannot have new comments or replies. If you have moderator privileges, you can reopen a closed thread by looking for an option to "reopen" or "unlock" it.

You can't. But you can use Report button and ask Mentors to lock the thread. No guarantee it will be done.
