Will there ever be any form of experimental proof of multiple dimensions, even any thought experiment which would be able to proof or disprove the existence of one?

There are experiments that have been going on since 2000 to check that some of the compact dimensions of superstring theory may have dimensions as large as a micrometer. This would show up as a modification to the behavior of gravity at very short distances. They haven't found any such thing yet, but they haven't given up looking either.
