 P: 164 Hi! Why it is necessary to has angle in radians for SHM(Simple pendulum)?
 PF Patron HW Helper Sci Advisor Thanks P: 25,490 hi shayaan_musta! because everything works in radians in particular, v = rω only works in radians

I need a explanation that why don't we use degree instead of radians??

Why physicist agree to use radians particularly.

Angle for SHM(Simple pendulum)

if we use radians, everything is easier …

v = rω

a = rα

etc

This implies that if we use degree it is also OK. But use of radians is more easy that degree??
Right?
 PF Patron HW Helper Sci Advisor Thanks P: 25,490 no … if we use degrees … v = 2πrω/360 a = 2πrα/360

You mean, for degree we have to use this conversion??
 PF Patron HW Helper Sci Advisor Thanks P: 25,490 yup!

OK. Thanks tiny-tim :)
