What type of transcription factors does Oct4 and Sox3 represent?

I came across this question in my assignment asking this and i am not sure if they represent activators or repressors because the question jus stated that "Oct 4, Sox 3 are transcription factors that are present in stem cells only. Explain what type of transcription factors they represent." There is hardly any contextual clue to deduce so but my attempt is they are probably activators to direct the development of the stem cells?

Thanks for any clarification!

What type? One could look at the structure or function of the transcription factor, the question is not clear in this context.
