Any reaction between metal and sensitivity skin?

In summary, nickel, chromium, and cobalt are three substances that can lead to dermatitis, accounting for 25 substances in total. It is believed that nickel allergy may be inherited and that other metals, such as cobalt and palladium, may also cause a reaction. More research is needed to fully understand the cause of nickel allergy and its effects on sensitive skin.

Three substances of nickel, chromium and cobalt, lead to dermatitis ratio accounted for 25 substances, the first, third and fourth place.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of reactions between metal and sensitivity skin?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

If you have nickel allergy, your body reacts to nickel and possibly to other metals, such as cobalt and palladium.

The cause of nickel allergy is unknown, but sensitivity to nickel may, in part, be inherited (genetic).

Ostensibly it is chemical of some kind.

Nickel dermatitis - http://www.jpad.org.pk/January-March-2011/1.Editorial%20Nickel%20dermatitis.pdf - cites nickel ions.

Metal reacts with the Sensitive skin and this reaction may lead to some sort of allergy...

1. Can metal cause skin irritation or sensitivity?

Yes, metal can cause skin irritation and sensitivity in some individuals. This is known as contact dermatitis and is caused by an allergic reaction to certain metals.

2. Which metals are most likely to cause a reaction in sensitive skin?

The most common metals that can cause skin sensitivity are nickel, cobalt, and chromium. These metals are often found in jewelry, watches, and certain metal objects.

3. How does the reaction between metal and sensitive skin occur?

The reaction occurs when the metal comes into contact with the skin, causing the body's immune system to release chemicals that result in the skin becoming red, itchy, and inflamed.

4. What are the symptoms of a metal allergy or sensitivity?

The symptoms can vary from person to person, but common symptoms include redness, itching, rash, blisters, and swelling. In severe cases, there may also be pain and oozing of fluids from the affected area.

5. Is there a way to prevent a reaction between metal and sensitive skin?

The best way to prevent a reaction is to avoid contact with the metal that causes the sensitivity. This can be done by choosing hypoallergenic or non-metallic jewelry and avoiding touching metal objects for extended periods of time.
