Does anyone know which hemisphere has more land mass? My guess is the Northern Hemisphere, and if that is fact, why is it so?
The Northern Hemisphere contains approximately 39% of the Earth's land mass.
The Northern Hemisphere has significantly more land mass than the Southern Hemisphere, with more than double the amount of land.
This difference is due to the fact that the Earth's land mass is not evenly distributed. The Northern Hemisphere contains the majority of the continents, while the Southern Hemisphere is mainly covered by oceans.
Yes, the distribution of land mass plays a significant role in the Earth's climate. The Northern Hemisphere, with its larger land mass, experiences more extreme seasonal changes and has a greater variety of climates compared to the Southern Hemisphere.
The distribution of land mass on Earth has changed over time due to plate tectonics and other geological processes. However, the relative amount of land in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres has remained largely consistent.
