I've noticed that some folks here have avatar images even though they don't have any recognitions. How have they got the avatars? I though that you need to contribute or get some other recognitions for avatars.
You will usually notice that those people have been around a long time. Members that had avatars before we changed the format here to contributors and members that have been awarded ribbons were able to keep the avatars, but they cannot change their avatar, if they try, they will lose it. Also, if they were previously a contributor, they can keep their avatar unless they try to change it.jostpuur said:I've noticed that some folks here have avatar images even though they don't have any recognitions. An avatar is a digital representation of a person or character, typically used in online platforms, video games, and virtual reality environments.
Some avatars may not have recognition because they were created by individuals instead of being officially licensed or approved by the platform or game developers. This can also happen if the avatar is based on copyrighted material without permission.
To get recognition for your avatar, you can try reaching out to the platform or game developers and asking for approval or licensing. You can also create original avatars without using copyrighted material.
If your avatar doesn't have recognition, you can either continue using it for personal use or try to get recognition by following the steps mentioned above. It's important to respect copyright and intellectual property laws when creating and using avatars.
Having a recognized avatar can potentially increase your visibility and credibility within the online community or game. It can also protect you from potential legal issues related to copyright infringement. Additionally, some platforms may offer perks or rewards for users with recognized avatars.
