But actually Atyy, Perimenter may have lost its edge, at least to the extent that one does not see many PI names in the 2011 Zakopane school or the speakers list for 2011 "Quantum Theory and Gravitation" conference.

It has moved in the direction of established ideas, conventional reputation, and some celebrity hunting. Still a good place, but not as outstanding as say 4 or 5 years ago. Just my impression, but I've seen similar comments from others lately.

Well, it's true that Livine's moved from Perimeter ;)
