Undergraduate Research Journals?

In summary, an undergraduate research journal is a platform for undergraduate students to publish their original research work and contribute to the body of knowledge in their fields. These journals typically publish a variety of research from different disciplines and involve a submission process that may require a manuscript, abstract, supporting documents, and a letter of recommendation. Publishing in these journals provides students with valuable experience and recognition for their contributions, and the majority of these journals also follow a peer-review process to ensure the quality of published research.

I'm looking for journals which are specifically for undergraduate papers. So far, I've found the Canadian Undergraduate Research Journal (cupj.ca), but I'm in the United States and doubt they accept out-of-country papers. I've also found The Online Journal of Undergraduate Research in Physics through SPS, but their website is lax on information of when drafts, etc., are due. Does anyone know of any others?

I understand the importance of undergraduate research and the need for publication avenues for undergraduate students. It is great to see that you are actively seeking out journals that specifically cater to undergraduate papers.

The Canadian Undergraduate Research Journal (CUPJ) is a great option, but as you mentioned, it may not accept papers from outside of Canada. However, I suggest reaching out to the journal directly to inquire about their submission policies for international students. They may be open to considering submissions from students outside of Canada.

In addition to CUPJ, there are several other undergraduate research journals that may be of interest to you. Some popular options include the Journal of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Excellence (JURSE), the Journal of Young Investigators (JYI), and the Undergraduate Research Journal for the Human Sciences (URJHS). These journals have a wide range of topics and may be more accessible for students in the United States.

I also recommend checking with your university or department for any undergraduate research journals that they may publish or have partnerships with. This could be a great opportunity to showcase your work within your own academic community.

Lastly, I understand your concerns about the lack of information on submission deadlines for The Online Journal of Undergraduate Research in Physics. I suggest reaching out to the journal directly for more information or checking their social media pages for updates on submission deadlines.

I hope this helps in your search for undergraduate research journals. Keep up the great work in pursuing and publishing your research!
