I was using a 555 timer circuit to generate a tone the frequency of roughly 256 Hz with resistors of 22 and 270 Ohms and a capacitor of 10 uF but I was advised not to by my teacher and wasn't able to ask the reason why. Can someone kind of brief me on this since my teacher is away tomorrow and this projcet is due soon.

I'm not very familiar with 555 circuits, but maybe the 22 Ohm and 270 Ohm resistors cause a high current to be drawn from the power supply? Can you make the same frequency tone with higher value resistors? What is the equation for the frequency in terms of these three component values?
