In summary, the conversation discusses a person's experience with a course on gravitational waves through Kip Thorne's website. The course is no longer available but the link is still active. The person asks for a mirror link or other means to access the course, and another user provides a suggestion to use a website archive. However, upon checking, only the html pages are archived and not the videos.

I had been working through ph237 Gravitational Waves through Kip Thorne's website over the past year or so. It's been a few months since I visited and now the course is gone (but the link to the course is still there curiously). I tried emailing Thorne but as yet received no reply.

Anybody know of a mirror to this link, or have some other means to get access to the course (which was comprised of all the classes on video).

TIA

Try this http://web.archive.org/web/20070430194256/http://elmer.caltech.edu/ph237/

If for some reason you are not able to access a site or page, use the http://www.archive.org/index.php" to find it archived. (Copy and past URL.) Of course, if it's a site that's regularly updated and you're looking for the latest info, it won't be very useful

Neutrino,

Thanks for your help, learned something new. Unfortunately, the only thing archived was the html pages, none of the links to the videos are archived, so still looking.
