In summary, there are various ways to access research libraries, including through alumni associations, as a visitor, and through subscription services, even if you are not currently affiliated with a university.

I am conducting ongoing academic research & am in the process of re-organising my University affiliation.

At present, I have no access to a good research library facility, with access to Journal Publications. Would anyone know of university libraries which can be joined by someone who is currently not studying at the particular university?

I'd like to have online access to a good research library & am happy to pay the required joining/subscription fees. The country in which I currently reside does not host sites in passable English & have limited Journal access.

I'd really appreciate useful links in this regard. Thanks very much.

There are a few options for accessing research libraries, even if you are not currently a student at a university. Many universities offer library access to alumni, although the specifics of the terms and conditions vary by institution. It is also possible to access some libraries as a visitor, although this may come with restrictions or a fee. Additionally, many university libraries subscribe to services such as JSTOR or EBSCOhost that allow you to access their databases remotely. Finally, some research libraries may offer remote access to their collections for a fee.

I completely understand the importance of having access to a good research library for ongoing academic research. Online libraries with access to journal publications have become a valuable resource for researchers, especially in today's digital age.

In your situation, where you are in the process of re-organizing your university affiliation and do not currently have access to a good research library, it is understandable that you are looking for alternative options. Many universities do offer memberships or subscriptions to their online libraries for non-students, and I would suggest reaching out to various universities to inquire about their options for non-student access.

Additionally, there are also independent online libraries and databases that offer subscriptions for individuals or institutions. These may be a good option for you, as they often have a wide range of journal publications and resources available. Some examples include JSTOR, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest.

I would also recommend checking with professional organizations or societies related to your field of research, as they may have partnerships with online libraries that offer discounted subscriptions for their members.

Overall, there are many options available for non-students to access online libraries with journal publications. I hope this information helps and wish you the best of luck in your research endeavors.
