Silicon Valley High School Math Competitions for Enthusiastic Students

So I live in silicon valley and I was wondering what mathematics competitions are there? The ones that are nearby and that are only for high school students. I need to have at least 4 nearby competitions for my math club because I want the members participating a lot.

Go to a math circle or two and talk to them, or check their web sites. The major ones in Silicon Valley are San Jose, Stanford, and Berkeley. I've already pointed you at good sources for competition information. Have you actually looked at any of them? What have you found?

You are not going to get anywhere in this unless you are willing to put in some effort.

Yes I looked into SMT and BMT but those are pretty much the only ones that I can find.

I don't know if you are just looking at purely team based ones in the local area but why not just set up a training program for your team for the USAMO/IMO, unless you already have.

I am not directly involved in organizing math competitions, but I can provide some information about the types of competitions that may be available in Silicon Valley. There are several organizations that host math competitions for high school students in this area, including the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), and the California Math League (CAML).

The MAA hosts the American Mathematics Competitions, which includes the AMC 10 and AMC 12 exams for high school students. These exams are held annually in February and are available at various locations in Silicon Valley. The top students from these exams may qualify for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME) and the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO).

The AMC also hosts the American Mathematics Contest 8 (AMC 8) for middle school students, which takes place in November and may be open to high school students as well. The top students from this exam may qualify for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 10/12).

The CAML offers a series of five monthly contests from September to February for high school students in California. These contests are held at various locations in Silicon Valley, and the top students from each contest are invited to participate in the California State Mathematics Championship.
