In summary, the conversation discusses the possibility of using a digital tablet as a math scratch pad instead of traditional marble notebooks. The individual is curious if digital tablets are precise enough for writing complex mathematical equations and would like to hear from others who have experience with this method. Another suggestion is to digitize handwritten notes using a camera and compiling them into a PDF.

A little OT perhaps, but I have been considering using a "digital tablet" as my math scratch pad. For years I have used "marble notebooks" but it would be nice to just load my scratchings to my PC so I can email, store them etc.

So-the question is-are digital tablets fine enough for this? I am obviously thinking writing with the blunt stylus, those nasty little sub/super scripts and limits of integration etc. Would like to hear from anyone doing this and what model works for them?

You could just digitize your notes by taking pics and compiling it all in a pdf...
