What are some common misconceptions about scientists and their field?

In summary, there are many misconceptions about scientists in our society, such as the belief that they are evil, materialistic, and out to destroy religion. Other misconceptions include being absent-minded, socially awkward, and always wearing glasses. However, in reality, scientists can be athletic and have a good sense of humor. They also do not always wear white lab coats and use calculators, and they are not always right.

There are many misconceptions about things and people in our society. I say one of the most misunderstood groups in America is scientists.

Can you give some of the many misconceptions of Science,Physics, scientists,and physicists?

You should see some of the chemists who work at Pfizer as they compete at any of the local running, biking, or triathlon races.
