Famous quote of 2010, earthquakes caused by women dressing immodestly .

In summary, an Iranian cleric blamed earthquakes on women who dress "immodestly" and lead young men "astray". Can it be true? After all, these guys are smart enough to build a nuclear bomb.

It was even published in the Iranian press. An Iranian cleric blamed earthquakes on women who dress "immodestly" and lead young men "astray". Can it be true? After all, these guys are smart enough to build a nuclear bomb.

If dressing immodestly causes Earthquakes, then what would happen if people started walking around naked?

Well we did at one time. It would seem that our ancestors survived any earthquakes that might have been caused, or perhaps the Earth wasn't that impressed with the human body at that time and therefore didn't quake.

Yes, but this guy is a seismologist if this source is to be believed.

That's tongue in cheek. He is a "seismologist" only in the sense that he is stating a cause to earthquakes.

The dinosaurs were naked. Look what happened to them. I'm just sayin'.

Over festivus I did wear the same T-shirt several days running, I hope this didn't offend any major deities and won't lead to any cataclysmic geological events in the coming month

Yeah it's true. If you look at the distribution of earthquakes you will see they all line up along the beaches, is it just a coincidence that this is where women can occasionally be found in bikinis and sometimes even topless?

No no no, that’s the usual Boobquakes you’re talking about – this Iranian-cleric-stuff is controlled by a much higher spirit!

Yeah, but this is of course a perfectly natural consequence of Archimedes' Principle, when those very fine ladies and their "equipment" jumps into the water:

Dammit, looks like you're onto something here...

I wonder if there's a correlation between volcanic eruptions and mountain climbers?
