discontinuity in a waveguide ?

Hello

Can any one help me to explain this graph.I have never performed any simulations before. It is the simulation result of a MZI waveguide, performed using Rsoft, BeamPROP. The left side graph looks like the propagation of light through the waveguide is not continuous ( it shows certain breaks in the light propagation), but the right side graph shows that the monitor outpur is around 60-80 , which is quite good for our case. So now how can I interpret this result??
