In summary, to convert 112km/h/min to ms^2, you first need to convert km/h to m/s by multiplying by 1000 and dividing by 3600. Then, to convert from m/s to ms^2, you multiply by 3.6. This results in a final value of 0.5185m/s^2.

You have 3600 [itex] \frac s {hr} [/tex] and 60 [itex] \frac s {min} [/itex]

Do the algebra.

I have had a go at trying to work this out but not sure if my answer is correct. I got a result of 0.5183ms-2. Is this right?

From km/h to m/s you multiply by 1000 and divide by 3600, from m/s to km/h you multiply by 3.6 (3600/1000).

It looks more to me like 0.5185m/s^2, but yes, you have the right idea.

What is the formula for converting km/h to m/s^2?

The formula for converting km/h to m/s^2 is: m/s^2 = (km/h * 1000) / (60 * 60).

What is the value of 112 km/h in m/s^2?

The value of 112 km/h in m/s^2 is approximately 31.11 m/s^2.

Can you walk me through the steps to convert 112 km/h to m/s^2?

Sure, first we multiply 112 km/h by 1000 to convert to meters per hour. Then, we divide by 60 to convert to meters per minute. Finally, we divide by another 60 to convert to meters per second squared. This gives us a final value of approximately 31.11 m/s^2.

Why do we divide by 60 twice in the conversion process?

We divide by 60 twice because there are 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute. This ensures that we are converting the units correctly and maintaining the same value.

Is there an easier way to convert km/h to m/s^2?

Yes, there are online conversion calculators and apps that can quickly and accurately convert km/h to m/s^2 for you. There are also many conversion charts and tables available for reference.
