In summary, to check if your clock is running fast, compare it to a reliable time source. If it consistently runs fast, it may need to be serviced. Clocks can run fast due to mechanical issues, power surges, temperature changes, or dirty mechanisms. If the cause is mechanical, it may be fixable by a professional, but electronic clocks may need to be replaced. It is recommended to check your clock for accuracy once a month and have it serviced if it consistently runs fast.
