Phyto-caffeine complex against hair loss discovered – Clinical tests prove its effect

In collaboration with the dermatological institute of the University Clinic Jena, Dr. Wolff R&D has discovered novel properties of caffeine, which can prevent the negative effect of testosterone in the hair root.
The Dr. Wolff laboratories developed and patented a new phyto-caffeine complex especially against hair loss in women after menopause, which contains caffeine, zinc and niacin as well as an active ingredient combination from phytoflavonoids of the soy plant and black cohosh (Cimicifuga).

What study? I looked at their "research" page and it was all fluff.

They are running a commercial on the television, so I'm expecting people to come to me and ask about the validity. Sure I have a hard head and likely the research is fluff, but I'll have to come up with a good explanation when I'm asked why it would not be effective.

I looked and couldn't find the "study".

Their claim of penetration could be based on this
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18523412

another company claiming the same?
http://www.anagen.net/caffeine3.htm

using
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=17396054

How much you want to bet that is the referred to study - probably only a clinical 1 trial

The other question is, does caffeine hinder hair loss and.or promote rejuvination of hair follicles

best I can do.
Hope it helps

PS: reseach centre, but Germain language looks easy

Thanks 256! it seems there was a study that showed direct applications of caffeine to the scalp helps blocks the damaging effects of DHT. I guess I will crush up some caffeine pills and add it to my hair lotion!

1. What is Plantur 39 and how does it work?

Plantur 39 is a hair care line specifically designed for women going through menopause. It contains caffeine, which helps to stimulate hair growth and reduce hair loss by blocking the negative effects of testosterone on the hair follicles.

2. How do I know if I am experiencing menopausal hair loss?

Menopausal hair loss is characterized by a thinning of the hair, especially around the crown of the head. You may also notice an increase in hair shedding and slower hair growth. If you are unsure, it is best to consult with a doctor.

3. Can Plantur 39 be used by all women in menopause?

Yes, Plantur 39 is safe for use by all women experiencing menopause-related hair loss. However, it is always recommended to consult with a doctor before starting any new hair care regimen.

4. How often should I use Plantur 39?

The shampoo and conditioner should be used on a daily basis for optimal results. The tonic can be used once a day, preferably in the morning, and should be massaged into the scalp for best absorption.

5. How long does it take to see results from using Plantur 39?

The results may vary for each individual, but on average, it takes about 3 months to see a noticeable improvement in hair growth and reduction in hair loss. Consistency is key, so it is important to use the products regularly for best results.
