In summary, a conversation took place where individuals shared their current desktop setups. The rules included keeping file size small, using compression, and avoiding nudity. One person mentioned using Fluxbox and modifying the style and wallpaper. Another person shared their minimalist setup using Solaris 9 and CDE. There was a lack of interest in the thread, with one person mentioning too much nudity in their setup. Some individuals shared links to their desktop screenshots and recommended using Imageshack for image hosting.

[November 2004] Post Your Desktop [56k Warning!]

Rules:

1. Keep file size small if you upload your picture to physicsforums
2. Use compression like jpeg or png
3. No wallpapers with nudity
4. If possible, list which styles/themes you used

---------------------------------------------

Here is my current desktop:

http://umsis.miami.edu/~dduardo/desktop.png

Window Manager: Fluxbox 0.9.10-r3
Style: Milky (I modified the oringal style because I didn't like how the toolbar looked)
Wallpaper: Cubism Milk (I modified the original wallpaper to remove the text that said Cubism Milk)
XMMS: Plastik

I'm also using the new composite engine in X.org to render the shadows.

Graphic7, this is exactly why I stopped creating this thread. There wasn't much interest.
