460 Volt motors are designed to operate on a 480V system. All motors have Voltage ratings slightly below the system Voltage rating. Throughout the industry, at all Voltage ranges.

Oh, and by the way Volts, Voltage, and 460V are ALWAYS capitalized. It is a proper name. Just as are Ohm, Ampere, etc...
