Simple question (derived from some unanswered posts from various posters)...
Does acceleration cause time dilation? Can someone shed light on this one?
There seems two conflicting claims:
acceleration cause time dilation
acceleration does not cause time dilation

(The increase is proportional to coordinate distance, and probably also to the magnitude of the acceleration) And similarly, when accelerating away from a clock, it is observed to run slower, or even backwards..
acceleration does not cause time dilation
