In summary, the thread "difficult looking for medical physics jobs" was closed due to it turning into a mindless bickering-fest, rather than providing informative content for students seeking guidance. The Physics Forum does not intend to mislead students with fake rosy pictures about Medical Physics and it is unfair to those seeking genuine information and advice. It is recommended to first contact the mentor who closed the thread before posting any questions about its closure.

Why the thread "difficult looking for medical physics jobs" is closed. The Physics Forum just wants to give students who need information to guide their career fake rosy poictures about Medical Physics? That is not fair to those students who are seeking information and advice here. And I am sure this is not the intention of this Forum.

You are letting your rancor get the best of you, and it's causing you to say ridiculous things.

If there was every any value to this thread, it's long since passed.

Vanadium50 has closed the thread because it was turning into a mindless bickering-fest, rather than something informative for the people you speak of.

1. Why are medical physics jobs difficult to find?

There are a few reasons why medical physics jobs may be difficult to find. One reason is that the field of medical physics is relatively small, and therefore there may not be as many job opportunities available compared to other fields. Another reason is that medical physics requires specialized training and education, which can make it more competitive to secure a job in the field.

2. What is the job outlook for medical physics?

The job outlook for medical physics is generally positive, with a projected growth rate of 14% from 2018 to 2028 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. However, this growth may vary depending on the location and specific area of medical physics.

3. What qualifications are needed for medical physics jobs?

Most medical physics jobs require a graduate degree in medical physics or a related field, such as physics or engineering. In addition, many positions also require certification through the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics.

4. Why do some medical physics jobs require a medical license?

Some medical physics jobs, particularly those in clinical settings, may require a medical license in addition to the necessary education and certification. This is because medical physicists often work closely with medical professionals and may need to be familiar with medical procedures and terminology.

5. Where can I find open medical physics jobs?

There are a few places where you can find open medical physics jobs, including job search websites such as Indeed or LinkedIn, professional organizations like the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, and individual hospital or medical center websites. Networking with other professionals in the field may also lead to job opportunities.
