Hope this is in the correct forum, so here goes.

Lets say you have a steel pipe, and inside this pipe is a steel cylinder which fits snuggly with no gap between it and the pipe.

Now let's say you apply an axial load on the inner cylinder. This will cause it to deform and expand laterally. This expansion will induce a pressure force on the outer pipe as it is resiting the expansion of the cylinder.

My question is: How do you calculate the pressure on the inner surface of the outer pipe?
