In summary, the conversation revolved around the search for space pictures of the sun as seen from Earth in a few billion years. One person shared a link to a picture from Scientific American, while another provided a more optimistic view from Wikipedia. The conversation also touched on the fact that the sun's expansion will eventually engulf Earth. Someone also shared their favorite picture, questioning what the liquid in it could be. The conversation ended on a somber note, with the realization that in the grand scheme of things, the chaos in the world will not matter in the end.

Since in a few billion years the sun's radius will be outside the present Earth orbit, the picture would be bright white without any real detail. Very very bright.

heres my favourite, I wonder what the liquid is...hardly water anyway? :-)

its sad when you think about it...all the chaos that's happening in the world...at the end of it all it just doesn't matter!

1. What causes the red color of the sun in some wallpaper pictures?

The red color of the sun in these wallpaper pictures is caused by the scattering of sunlight through Earth's atmosphere. This phenomenon, known as atmospheric scattering, is caused by the Earth's atmosphere filtering out most of the blue light, leaving behind the red and orange hues.

2. Can these wallpaper pictures of the red sun be taken with a regular camera?

Yes, these wallpaper pictures can be taken with a regular camera. However, for the best quality and clarity, it is recommended to use a camera with a telephoto lens and a solar filter to protect both the camera and your eyes from the intense light of the sun.

3. How far away is the sun in these wallpaper pictures?

The distance between the Earth and the sun varies throughout the year due to the Earth's elliptical orbit. On average, the distance is about 93 million miles or 149.6 million kilometers.

4. Are these wallpaper pictures of the red sun real or edited?

Some wallpaper pictures of the red sun may be edited or enhanced for aesthetic purposes, but most are real images captured by cameras or telescopes. With the right equipment and techniques, it is possible to capture stunning images of the sun's surface and its red appearance during sunrise or sunset.

5. Can the red sun be seen from any location on Earth?

The red sun can be seen from any location on Earth during sunrise and sunset. However, the intensity and color of the red sun may vary depending on the atmospheric conditions and level of pollution in the area. The best views of the red sun can be seen in areas with clear skies and minimal pollution.
