Is a Home DSL Network Broadband?

In summary, the conversation is about the nature of ethernet networks and whether they are considered broadband or baseband. The speaker clarifies that broadband refers to faster speeds compared to dial-up, while baseband is a simpler serial binary signal. They also mention that wifi is baseband but can communicate with multiple devices simultaneously. In a LAN of 30 PCs, they can all exchange data at the same time through the ethernet switch. The speaker also brings up the concept of network speeds and clarifies that they are focusing on the communication aspect, not just the speed itself.

Today's ethernet networks [LAN only I refer] we mention [1000baseT/100baseT - RJ-45] are broadband in nature or baseband? May mixed PCs send messages simultaneously to each other and internet, all to same network part, under one switch, for example...?

eg a HOME DSL NETWORK it it broadband both in DSL-INTERNET and LAN:PC-PC:WIFI or LAN ? OR NOT THE LATTER?

""Broadband"" is just faster than dial-up

I refer vs baseband, not in internet, but Local Area network(data not leave from network)? what is this of the two?

Since I've seen "Broadband" below 10k, I'd refer to the network instead the speed or frequencies.

Ethernet is baseband it's a simple serial binary signal on differential pair (single pair each way for 100Base, 2 pairs for gigabit).

wifi is base band in that it only uses a single channel for each link, but there are multiple channels for simultaneous comms with different devices.

In a LAN(100baseT) of 30 PCs , that you say is baseband may, 30 PCs work & exchange data same time, each other or from internet [LAN & Web]?

Yes, the routing is handled by the ethernet switch

Unless you are trying to confuse who ever it is your are talking to:

You refer to network speeds such as:

Provider\Provider (Name)\WAN SPEED

or

Local\Local Network\LAN SPEED

If you are about the network, leave off the work SPEED.

I refer on Local\Local Network\LAN SPEED

but not speed, but "communication same time" of course speed derives...

this achieved with only broadband ... the inner communication in network, or baseband is the same, ...?

30 of 30 PCs USE THE SAME CABLES TO SEND PACKETS SAME TIME/INSTANCE

1. What is a Home DSL Network Broadband?

A Home DSL Network Broadband is a type of internet connection that uses Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology to provide high-speed internet access to homes. It uses existing telephone lines to transmit data and offers faster speeds than traditional dial-up connections.

2. How does a Home DSL Network Broadband work?

A Home DSL Network Broadband works by using a special modem that connects to a telephone jack in your home. The modem then translates the data from your computer into a digital signal and sends it through your phone line to the internet. The data is received by your internet service provider (ISP) and then transmitted to the internet.

3. What are the advantages of using a Home DSL Network Broadband?

One of the main advantages of a Home DSL Network Broadband is its high-speed internet access. It offers faster download and upload speeds compared to traditional dial-up connections. Additionally, it allows you to use your phone line for both internet and phone calls simultaneously. It also tends to be more reliable and stable than other types of internet connections.

4. Are there any limitations to a Home DSL Network Broadband?

Yes, there are some limitations to a Home DSL Network Broadband. The internet speed can vary depending on the distance between your home and the nearest telephone exchange. The further away you are, the slower the internet speed may be. Additionally, the speed can be affected by the number of users connected to the same network and the quality of your phone line.

5. How do I set up a Home DSL Network Broadband?

Setting up a Home DSL Network Broadband is a relatively simple process. First, you will need to contact an ISP that offers DSL services in your area. They will provide you with a modem and any necessary installation instructions. You will then need to connect the modem to your phone line and set up your internet connection on your computer. It is recommended to consult your ISP for specific instructions on how to set up your particular DSL network.
