Poll regarding creation of an "Engineering Napster" thread

Hi all,

I've been debating starting one of these for a while, and Tom just mentioned that he's got enough engineering links stored up to start one.

What is the consensus about how you all would like to see napster threads?

I think it would be more convenient if they were all in one place, maybe put X-Engineering in one post and Y-Engineering in the next.

I would love to see an "Engineering Napster" thread. And like the person above me stated, just create one centralized thread within the General Engineering section. Then, when people post links, just have them categorize the links within his post (aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, etc.).

1. What is the purpose of creating an Engineering Napster thread?

The purpose of creating an Engineering Napster thread is to facilitate a platform for engineers to share and exchange ideas, resources, and knowledge related to the field of engineering. This can help foster collaboration and innovation within the engineering community.

2. How will the Engineering Napster thread benefit engineers?

The Engineering Napster thread can benefit engineers by providing a platform for them to connect with other engineers, learn from each other, and potentially discover new solutions to engineering problems. It can also serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for engineers to continue learning and improving their skills.

3. Is the Engineering Napster thread only for professional engineers?

No, the Engineering Napster thread is open to anyone with an interest in engineering. This includes both professional engineers, as well as students, hobbyists, and enthusiasts. Everyone is welcome to contribute and participate in discussions on the thread.

4. Are there any rules or guidelines for participating in the Engineering Napster thread?

Yes, there may be rules or guidelines in place to ensure the thread remains a respectful and productive space for all participants. These rules may include guidelines for posting, commenting, and interacting with others on the thread. It is important to follow these rules to maintain a positive and helpful community.

5. Can anyone start a new discussion or thread on the Engineering Napster thread?

Yes, anyone can start a new discussion or thread on the Engineering Napster thread. However, it is important to ensure that the topic being discussed is relevant to engineering and fosters productive and respectful discussion among participants. It is also recommended to check if a similar discussion already exists before starting a new one.
