Boiling and melting point decrease
I know that the melting point of a metal decreases when it has some impurities, but why is it so? What effect causes this?
The same question for boiling point of two immiscible liquids. Why does it decrease? For example bromobenzene and water mixture has a smaller boiling point than those two separately. Thanks in advance. |
