In summary, Alex Williams has shown that mutations are purely physical and not biological events. They are the result of the universal mechanical damage that interferes with all molecular machinery, and as a consequence all life on Earth is undergoing inexorable genome decay.

Mutations: evolution’s engine becomes evolution’s end!?

Did scientist Alex Williams really disprove evolution? is he right ? is there a reply to his topic ?
i need to understand how does this make mutations evolution’s end !

Mutations: evolution’s engine becomes evolution’s end!
by Alex Williams:

In neo-Darwinian theory, mutations are uniquely biological events that provide the engine of natural variation for all the diversity of life. However, recent discoveries show that mutation is the purely physical result of the universal mechanical damage that interferes with all molecular machinery. Life’s error correction, avoidance and repair mechanisms themselves suffer the same damage and decay. The consequence is that all multicellular life on Earth is undergoing inexorable genome decay. Mutation rates are so high that they are clearly evident within a single human lifetime, and all individuals suffer, so natural selection is powerless to weed them out. The effects are mostly so small that natural selection cannot ‘see’ them anyway, even if it could remove their carriers. Our reproductive cells are not immune, as previously thought, but are just as prone to damage as our body cells. Irrespective of whether creationists or evolutionists do the calculations, somewhere between a few thousand and a few million mutations are enough to drive a human lineage to extinction, and this is likely to occur over a time scale of only tens to hundreds of thousands of years. This is far short of the supposed evolutionary time scales.

Have you checked the source that that website has?
It's this Edited to remove crackpot link from OP's source.Which I suspect is not exactly a reliable, peer-reviewed journal.

yes i know it's on a creationists site, but i just need to know does this make any sense ? is that true ?

Basically no. It's a misrepresentation of what is known, for example it assumes mutations that occur late in life, causing things like cancer are passed on to offspring.

Other poor claims include the statement where he states that 70% of known human genes can cause cancer when mutated, this may be true, but that is likely because most of the work on the human genome is on understanding what causes cancers, so of course most of the genes are related to cancer.
Also a significant number of the sources he's used aren't claiming what he says they are claiming, or aren't actually provided.

The claims are also not self-consistent. With a starting population of 2(The creationist Adam and Eve so to speak), humanity would have become extinct before the 2200 years given for a starting population of 10, therefore if the claims were true, then we would expect humanity to already be extinct.

AE--from the topics you have started it sounds like you have a lot of questions about evolution. It would probably be best (if you are really interested in the answers and not a poe) if you actually invested some time into learning about evolution.

I'd recommend starting here:

Evolution 101

Read through that website.

I'd also recommend you pick up R. Dawkins' book: The greatest show on earth and give that a read as well.

After putting in some ground work and attempting to develop your knowledge base, then asking questions here would be a good idea. But it seems you are coming from a very small knowledge base and it is unreasonable to ask people here to provide you with an education that mountains of literature already exist to do.

Thank you all for the excellence responses to clear up the Op's confusion.

1. What is a mutation?

A mutation is a change in the genetic material, or DNA, of an organism. It can occur spontaneously or be induced by external factors, and can result in changes to physical traits or biological processes.

2. How do mutations contribute to evolution?

Mutations provide the genetic variation that is necessary for natural selection to act upon. This can lead to the emergence of new traits or adaptations that allow an organism to better survive and reproduce in its environment.

3. Can all mutations be beneficial?

No, not all mutations are beneficial. In fact, most mutations are either neutral or harmful. However, in rare cases, a mutation can result in a new adaptive trait that gives an organism a survival advantage.

4. Can mutations cause a species to become extinct?

Yes, mutations can contribute to a species' extinction. If a mutation is harmful and reduces an organism's ability to survive and reproduce, it can lead to the decline and eventual extinction of a species.

5. How can scientists study mutations?

Scientists can study mutations through a variety of methods, such as observing changes in physical traits or conducting genetic analyses. They can also use experimental techniques, such as inducing mutations in organisms, to understand how mutations occur and their effects on evolution.
