Hi guys, sorry new to this, I'm looking to build a simple laser using magnifying glasses, lenses and a laser pointer. How would I go about it and can I get away with using the pointer or do I need a laser diode?

A simple laser using magnifying glasses, lenses and a laser pointer is a basic setup that utilizes the principles of optics to create a focused beam of light. The laser pointer acts as the light source, while the magnifying glasses and lenses are used to manipulate and direct the light into a concentrated beam.
The laser pointer emits a beam of light, which is then directed through the magnifying glasses and lenses. The lenses are used to focus the light, while the magnifying glasses help to amplify the intensity of the beam. The result is a concentrated beam of light that is more powerful than the original laser pointer.
The materials needed for this setup include a laser pointer, magnifying glasses, lenses, and a stable surface to hold the components in place. Additionally, you may need tape or clamps to secure the components together.
A simple laser using magnifying glasses, lenses and a laser pointer can be used for various purposes, such as creating a laser light show, measuring distances, and even as a pointer for presentations. It can also be used in science experiments to demonstrate the principles of optics and light.
Yes, precaution should be taken when using a simple laser setup. The concentrated beam of light can be harmful to the eyes, so it is important to wear protective eyewear when working with the laser. Additionally, make sure to point the laser away from people and reflective surfaces to avoid any accidental injuries.
