Hi I'm trying to work out what the volume of gas would be at atmospheric pressure if it is released from a pipeline under pressure (168Barg)
The gas is hydrocarbons with unknown chemistry.
You know vol of gas because it will be vol of pipeline (Vinitial) so could you do:
vfinal = Vinitial x (Pinitial + Patmospheric) / (Pfinal +Patmospheric)
But I'm not sure this accounts for compressibility correctly?
Let me know
