What math does one need to know prior to learning Astrophysics


As stated in the title I was wondering what kind of math would be needed to understand astrophysics ...

This is only a basic list.
  1. Algebra
    -Linear Algebra
    -Matrix Algebra
  2. Calculus
    -Integral Calculus
    -Differential Calculus
    -Differential Equations

It's essentially the same maths as all other branches of physics. How much math there is depends on how deep you want to go into the topic.

If you want to include General Relativity, I would add Differential Geometry.
