SUMMARY

Sagar is developing an industrial-sized vacuum cleaner designed for road cleaning, requiring specific calculations for pressure drop, nozzle size, and suitable fan or blower specifications. Aditya inquires about the appropriate fan type and the suitability of a conventional motor for this application. The discussion emphasizes the need for detailed technical information regarding vacuum cleaner design, including formulas and calculations for optimal performance.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics principles related to vacuum technology
  • Familiarity with fan and blower specifications and their performance metrics
  • Knowledge of motor types and their applications in industrial machinery
  • Basic engineering skills for calculating pressure drops and nozzle dimensions
NEXT STEPS
  • Research "vacuum cleaner design principles" for foundational knowledge
  • Explore "fan performance curves" to select the appropriate fan for industrial applications
  • Study "pressure drop calculations" relevant to vacuum systems
  • Investigate "motor selection criteria" for industrial vacuum cleaners
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, product designers, and anyone involved in the development of industrial cleaning equipment or vacuum technology will benefit from this discussion.

Hi everybody,
I'm working on a project which deals with making a vacuum cleaner huge in size to clean the roads. So..i'm looking for some formulas and calcuations to calculate the pressure drop need to be created, the size of the nozzle, the adoptable fan/impeller/blower etc.

where can i find such stuff..means i want every technical detail of a vacuum cleaner.

thanks,
/sagar

hello everyone,
I need to create an industrial size vacuum cleaner, could someone please help me out on which fan should be sufficient, whether a conventional motor is suitable to design the same??
