Try Final Cut or something.

What OS are you using?

Iam Using Windows XP.
I want something to include text in video and animate it !
Not just cut and paste !

And you don't have Windows Movie Maker? Try that. If not, you're going to have to buy new software.

Then, head to Best Buy and choose the one you like.

I think Windows has basic video editing though, right? OS X has iMovie, even Linux has video editing software.

Linux ?

Iam using Mandrake 9.2.

Hey Thanx a lot man.
I will take that.
Will reply after trying it.
Thanx

if you have a mac, iMovie will do it

also, I have not used it, but QT pro costs 30 bucks and can edit movies from camcorders and export to a ton of formats...I don't know about adding transitions or text, but I am sure you can since it is a major media authoring tool...otherwise, I would say that for windows and not getting QT pro, the consumer grade video software kinda sucks, and dvLinux is not really usable yet... you might have to pay 200 or so for a prosumer application from adobe.

BTW...stay away from movie maker...the export formats really stink.

final cut pro can animate the text

what do you think all those studios use :-)
