AC corona discharge simulation

Dear all,

I'm currently reading into the topic of AC corona discharge in order to
develop a simulation, which should enable a transient analysis of the
fields, the distribution of electrons and ions as well as interaction
with the mechanical setup. My guess is that simulating the field is
rather simple but the connection to mechanical properties and effects
might be tricky. Has anyone ever done such a thing or can suggest any
software package to use for the simulation. I've used a FEM solver for
PDEs (FLEXPDE) before but am not sure if this will do it.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Regards,

Ingo

Hello.

I don't know if you manage to solve your problem.

I am interested in how you did your simulation. I am working on Corona discharge in DC and i would want to make a simulation in Femlab or Ansys.

Any idea ?

Thanks.
