I was just wondering if there are some desperate (a disputable term, though) people who'll hang around here on PF on New Year's Eve? We could organize a party, I thought I read something about that in a post some time ago.
The thread discusses the idea of celebrating New Year's Eve within the Physics Forums community, exploring the possibility of organizing a virtual party and sharing messages as the new year arrives across different time zones. Participants express various thoughts on the nature of New Year's celebrations and the potential for humorous interactions.
Participants generally agree on the idea of celebrating New Year's Eve together online, but there are differing views on the significance of the celebration itself and personal commitments that may affect participation. The discussion remains open-ended with no clear consensus on how the celebration will unfold.
Some participants express uncertainty about their availability for the celebration due to personal circumstances, which may influence the overall participation in the proposed activities.
